All Bond’s brands. What do 007’s brands tell us about the world?

DescriptionIn the eve of new James Bond movie realese, our team have collected and analysed data on brands in every of 007's movies. We wanted to show our users, how many, and of what categories are the brands appearing in films about the british spy agent.
What makes this project innovative? What was its impact?It was a first such comprehensive analysis in the web. We scrapped forums and websites of James Bond's enthusiasts, industry magazines and cross-checked them with each other. That gave us the most up to date and complete database of brands appearing in James Bond's movies. We have used, and customized Kumu.io, a web-app design tool for network analysis, and an in-house photo pinning solution called BIQpin.
