In 2014, the Berliner Morgenpost, a regional German newspaper, established an interactive team consisting of two data journalists, two web developers and a designer. The team (Julius Troeger, Andre Paetzold, Moritz Klack, David Wendler, Christopher Moeller) finds exclusive stories in their own databases, uses new research methods and produces interactive multimedia and data journalism stories that take full advantage of the strengths of the web.

What makes this project innovative? What was its impact?

The Berliner Morgenpost interactive team started with one person and has been growing ever since. Since 2016, they have also been working for other media titles within the Funke Media Group, such as Hamburger Abendblatt or WAZ.
