DescriptionThe Break-up. The Donbass inhabitants led their existence as all ordinary people. They used to go out to work in the morning, drive kids to school. And in the evening they used to meet in cafés and restaurants. They sat up very late in the kitchen with a cup of tea. Shared smiles and love. Today these simple life pleasures remained somewhere very far as an echo in the memory. The war with its submachine gun bursts and blasts wiped off all the traces of the past. Here the people appreciate every minute of their lives as it can become the last one any time. We became the first Kazakhstan journalists who visited the area of the armed conflict and saw firsthand this fine line between life and death.
What makes this project innovative? What was its impact? This project is based on the emotions of the people of Donbass. Most of them had lost their homes, their loved ones and their faith. Worth is the political strife of these losses? The world was more fragile than we imagined. These situations make us think that the peaceful sky is actually priceless. In the eyes of the people, who suffered from dissension you can see the sorrow and hurt that they have experienced.
