Description

This article was undertaken using data from the Irish Small and Medium Firms Association that assessed the risks to indigenous Irish firms arising from Brexit.

What makes this project innovative? What was its impact?

This graphic and article sought to underline the profound impact Brexit is likely to have on small and medium firms in Ireland. Many of these firms depend on exporting to the UK market for their business. Currency fluctuations and wider uncertainty have already meant some firms have gone out of business. We sought to highlight the threats to the sector to underline the severe implications for the sector and to inform people about the need plan adequately for the likely upheaval arising from Brexit.
