The article sought to address the issue of women in the workplace in Ireland. The issue of gender balance in the workplace in Ireland is a highly important topic in public discourse at present.Numerous Government schemes aiming to improve the number of women within management positions in Irish organisations have been launched in the last number of years with limited success. The article sought to emphasise the gap that still exists for women in terms of equality in the workplace. The article triggered some interesting debate online, with some people keen to discredit the veracity of the report and others expressing alarm at the reports findings.
