In limbo: Patients suffer due to non-availability of interferon

DescriptionMy project is about sufferings of Hepatitis patients who experienced miseries due to non-availability of Interferon in government hospitals. The poor patients had to purchase the vaccine from open market even at higher prices which multiplied their miseries. The non-availability of vaccine put the lives of hundreds o patients at risk. World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012 also declared Pakistan a ‘Cirrhotic State’ because it ranked second on the list of countries with the highest number of hepatitis patients.
