News Stretch

Publication Date: 04/09/2015

Description

News gives context to your world. But your world, the things you do, the places you visit, changes constantly throughout your day. So should the way in which we offer you news. This is News Stretch. It knows what you're up to. It knows what you need. News Stretch uses a range of sensors in your phone to see what you re up to. It tracks time, location and motion. All the content is derived from the NOS database: and because that content is clustered in stories. It allows the user to change the depth of their experience. News Stretch offers them a starting point. But when they're triggered by a story they can explore it further. Or when a longread proves to much they can fall back on a shorter version. News stretch is based on existing research about news consumption. At the NOS we've established different needs that vary in importance during the day. Our existing platforms and content are based on those needs. News Stretch clusters those needs in a single product.
