DescriptionNewsWaves tracks the frequency of tags applied to stories, subjects, people and places and visualises them as interactive timelines. This allows users and journalists to track how a storyline or topic has developed and how it intersects with other stories. A user can look at storylines to see how long a story has been running, see where it has peaked in terms of articles written, and navigate via headlines to earlier articles to help understand the background of the story. For editors and journalists it helps them understand how much they have been focussing on a particular story, the times the coverage has peaked and how it compares with resources on other stories.
