2016 Berlin state elections – how your neighbours voted

Organisation: Berliner Morgenpost (Interactive Team) (Germany)

Publication Date: 04/05/2017

On 18 September 2016, Berliners voted for their state parliament. The interactive map shows the results of voting in each of Berlin’s 1,779 polling stations. The areas covered by the polling stations are coloured according to the party receiving the most votes in each area’s respective polling station. Clicking/tapping on a polling station, or entering an address, will display all results for that polling station, including every vote, every party, and every candidate. How do Berliners that live under the Tegel airport flight path vote? How do new arrivals in Berlin vote? Where are non-voters the strongest “party”? These questions can be answered using the analysis mode, which takes into account all 653 electoral districts and all votes (including postal votes).
