DescriptionI'm Mohammed Haddad, I'm 28 years old. I lead the @AJLabs team of 5 data journalists in Al Jazeera English’s newsroom. Our primary responsibility is to use data to tell compelling visual and analytical stories. http://www.aljazeera.com/interactive/ We're one of only a handful of interactive teams in the Middle East. With so much of today's news stories originating from this part of the world we're in a prime position to make sense of the data behind the very personal stories that we cover. Over the past year I've worked on various forms of interactive and data-driven stories including: data driven investigations, immersive 360° projects, webdocs, animations, graphic novels, infographics, interactive maps, gamification of news, longform storytelling, digital adaptations of documentaries, timelines and gifs. Here are some key projects that I've produced or co-produced over the past 12 months: 1. Broken homes: A record year of Israeli demolitions http://interactive.aljazeera.com/aje/2017/jerusalem-2016-home-demolitions/index.html For a full year, Al Jazeera documented the impact of Israel's home demolitions on Palestinians in East Jerusalem. 2.
