DescriptionIn this project we investigated the different dividing lines that defined the US presidential election: between rural and urban, religious and less religious, highly-educated and less highly-educated, more ethnically diverse and less ethnically diverse. In this way, we hoped to anticipate the different electoral blocs that would support either Trump or Clinton. We wanted to show that the divisions were not as simple as red-state, blue-state, and throw some light on some interesting aspects, notable the "follow the water" phenomenon.
What makes this project innovative? What was its impact? The project covered a lot of ground for an audience that is not necessarily familiar with the North American landscape in great detail - the French public.
Technologies used for this project:We used Highcharts and Highmaps, two excellent products that we have invested in heavily at Alternatives Economiques.
