Rodney is a versatile technology executive with 15 years of experience managing teams of 70+ employees; building and selling his own companies; and developing original and branded digital products for mobile, web and gaming platforms.

He has a passion for building, inspiring, and leading high-performance technology and digital engagement organizations. He brings significant experience in a variety of industries, including mobile, news, gaming, social media, education, and television.

Rodney has direct experience managing budgets across multiple P&L centers and working with geographically dispersed teams and cross-functional companies.

He has developed digital strategy and coordinated its execution in coordination with regional offices across the country. He has developed and marketed software titles for some of the world's largest brands, as well as his own IP, some of which earned exceptional press and audience reception.

Rodney has served on regional and national boards in the public media, workforce development and youth mentoring spaces. After selling his second company, Rodney found a way to merge his twin passions for service and building businesses by joining The Texas Tribune as its CIO. A bold, "for-purpose" news organization, the Trib focuses both on profitability and making Texans more civically engaged.
